Whatever type of hydraulic ram that you have, we can repair it. Double acting hydraulic cylinders make up the majority of our repairs, but we also work on single acting hydraulic rams, steer cylinders, telescopic, multi-stage, tipper rams and many others.
We have seal suppliers and engineering company partners that can supply the parts we need and manufacture the parts that aren't available.
If you have a hydraulic ram in need of repair, we can help!

How long do hydraulic hose and hose assemblies last? That's a good question and there is no simple answer. The key to trouble free operation is regular inspection. Every hydraulic hose has different operating conditions and many factors including movement, abrasion, operating hours and weather exposure to name a few will affect its life span. There are signs that maintenance personnel can (and should) look for. The outer cover of the hose is the first place to look, if this cover is cracked, perished or missing and the steel or textile braid is exposed the hose should be replaced. Once the braid is exposed it can corrode or be damaged and that will inevitably lead to hose failure.
According to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the shelf life of bulk rubber hose is 10 years from the date of manufacture. Look for the manufacturing date of the hose on its lay-line. If your hoses are past 10 years old check they're visual condition and flexibility but really, it is probably worth replacing them.
Purchasing a new hose assembly is usually many times less expensive than the cost of clean up and plant down time, not to mention the potential for injury if a hose were to fail.
Setup a preventive schedule - and follow it.
For most applications, a simple visual inspection once a month and preventive replacement of damaged hoses is adequate. 80% of hose failures are attributable to external physical damage through pulling, kinking, crushing or abrasion of the hose and all the external damage can typically be checked for.
Keep a log of the hose replacements - especially replacements necessitated by a hose failure. You can use this log to estimate how long your hoses last in your application. You should only use this information for budgeting purposes and never as a substitute for regular visual inspection.
